Ramona Lee (Howard) Beck

Ramona Lee Beck, known as Mona to most, age 76, of Waupaca, Wisconsin, passed away December 29, 2025.  She was born July 9, 1949 in Black River Falls, Wisconsin to Thomas and Marian (Rand) Howard.  She grew up in Melrose, Wisconsin.

Mona worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King from 1978 until 2001 and then as an Activities Aide until she retired in 2020.  

Mona was a gentle soul who loved working in her flower beds and growing vegetables that she canned.  She was very talented at crafts, was a very good cook, and she loved animals.  She left behind her beloved dog, Frankie, and has now joined her other best fur buddies Emma, Zoey, Cramer and Boo, who went before her.  She always made sure her bird feeders were full and enjoyed observing all the birds and critters that visited her yard.

She loved family gatherings for the holidays, cruising The Chain on the pontoons on hot summer days, and the up-north cabin vacations in the summer and fall.  She was a great gift-giver and was always so very thoughtful in her giving.  Mona is greatly missed and her kindness and gentle spirit will live on in her family’s hearts and minds.

Ramona is survived by her daughter Sherri Harriman (Ryan Cevan), and her sons, Shawn Kreibich and Joshua Beck; her grandchildren Jamie, Dylan, Devan, Tristan, Lily and Ivy, and her great grandchildren Hayden, Mason, McKinley and Bradyn; her brother Robert Howard (Sue), sister Kelley Manske, sister Kayla Libby (Dan Wahlin); and her nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Ramona was preceded in death by her parents and her infant great-grandson Brewer Thomas Beck.

Mona’s light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of life is being planned for July 25th.
